BBVA Compass Bank Relies on ProtegeXE to Assist in Bank Mergers

HOUSTON, TEXAS - March 2009 - BBVA Compass Bank uses ProtegeXE to synthesize domestic and foreign collections data from several banking entities during merger.

In Q4 of 2008, BBVA Compass initiated conversion procedures for subsidiary banks Texas State Bank and Laredo National Bank.  This process required an increase in volume and process controls for managing and processing domestic and foreign collection items.  In addition, newly created external processing centers would be established to help assist the centralized office located in Houston, Texas in processing the increased volume.

Based on existing process controls and document efficiencies, ProtegeXE was recommended and selected as the product of choice to manage all incoming and outgoing collection letter transactions.  As a result, 3Core Software was commissioned to assist in providing a streamlined process that would enable the integration of existing customers and transactions into a consolidated database.  3Core Software would be responsible for migrating data from several legacy and existing Protege software systems into BBVA Compass Bank's production database.

Within the prescribed budget and project time frames, 3Core Software was able to provide BBVA Compass Bank with the necessary tools and support to go live in early Q1 of 2009 with an integrated solution for all locations processing foreign and domestic collection letter transactions.
